Dec 08: Dunlop Conveyor Belting opens a new sales office and warehouse in the South of Poland.
Despite all the concern and uncertainty caused by the economic situation throughout the world, Dunlop Conveyor Belting continues to expand its local sales presence throughout Europe. Having only recently opened a new sales office and warehouse in Italy, they have now opened similar facilities in the Upper Silesia area of Poland.
Piotr Chruściel was appointed as Area Sales Manager for Poland earlier this year and apart from having the task of finding new premises, he has also recruited a sales representative and an Office Manager. Previously, Dunlop had provided customer service and technical support directly from their Head Office and manufacturing plant in Drachten in the Netherlands. Managing Director Edwin Have is convinced that having a sales office and belt stock situated within Poland rather than simply providing a service from Holland is the way forward.
"Having our own people and a local presence means that we can communicate much more effectively and provide an even better service to our customers in Poland" explained Mr Have. “We already have an excellent distributor and splicing service provider located in the Warsaw area and we will, of course, continue to work closely in partnership with them. However, having our own base in the industrialised areas of southern Poland will enable us to gain new customers that were previously often difficult to reach”.
Sales manager Piotr Chruściel is excited about the opportunities for growth. “Our existing business in Poland is strong but my new team and I believe that we can make an even bigger impact in the Polish market because we have the biggest range of top quality belts in the industry to sell. We also have fantastic technical support from our colleagues in Holland. They are less than a couple of flying hours away so we have what we believe is a winning formula”.
