August 10: Dun & Bradstreet award Dunlop top credit rating for the second year in a row.
Netherlands-based Dunlop Conveyor Belting has again achieved the highest possible rating for credit worthiness and financial stability. Dun & Bradstreet, who are the world’s leading provider of business information, have awarded Dunlop their ‘D & B Rating 1 Certificate’ for the second year in succession.
Dunlop’s Director of Finance, Mark Maring, feels that this award is testimony to the efforts of everyone in the company. “This rating is only awarded to a very small number of companies so to achieve this accreditation during two years of some of the worst economic conditions the world has known is an amazing feat. It is the result of a lot of hard work by our colleagues in all parts of the company”
Despite the tough trading conditions, Dunlop have retained a positive approach to the market and have expanded their sales efforts by developing new services such as Dunlop Service, which has now been established in the Netherlands and in Italy with further expansion of the service network planned for other European countries and elsewhere.
According to Sales & Marketing Director Andries Smilda, there is still tremendous potential for growth. “It feels like we are identifying new opportunities for growth and improvement every week. We are expanding our product offerings to our customers and developing our sales in countries where we had previously enjoyed very little success. We are looking to the future with great enthusiasm”.
